History
The Old Letot Cemetery in northwest Dallas was founded by Clement LeTot, a French immigrant and Crimean War veteran who settled the area in 1874 and lent his name to the town of Letot, established along the rail line in 1881. As was pioneer custom, he set aside part of his land for family burials; the first graves were his sons Theodore (d. 1884) and Paul (d. 1885), and LeTot himself was buried here in 1907. It carries a Historic Texas Cemetery marker from 2002.
