History
Roach Feed & Seed Company grew from a grocery operation that Garland businessman W.H. Roach and his son Haskell acquired in 1920, later shifting to a feed, seed, and wholesale grocery trade served by the railroad. A new store opened in 1933, and after W.H. Roach's death in World War II the business dropped groceries to become Roach Feed & Seed Co. An affiliated grain operation counted the young Frito Company of Dallas among its early customers, and the Garland Landmark Society erected a marker in 2013.
