History

Housed in the Dimmit County Public Library in Carrizo Springs, the Wade House Museum displays pre-Columbian artifacts collected in and around Dimmit County over more than 50 years by local teacher J. W. House. The collection spans some 11,000 years and includes large projectile points used to hunt mammoths and mastodons as well as stone tools such as adzes, metates, and manos.
