History
The Eastland County Museum was organized in 1992 to archive photographs and memorabilia of Eastland County and its communities. It is housed in the former First State Bank building at 112-114 South Seaman Street, a structure designed in 1920 by noted Texas architect Henry T. Phelps and restored to its 1920s appearance after a donor funded its purchase in 2004. The volunteer-run museum features a permanent county history exhibit on the first floor and community exhibit rooms upstairs devoted to towns such as Cisco, Gorman, Olden, and Long Branch.
