History
The George C. Dillon House in Waxahachie was individually listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986 as part of the Historic Resources of Waxahachie nomination. It is one of the town's preserved turn-of-the-century homes from the period when Waxahachie ranked among the wealthiest communities in Texas thanks to the surrounding Blackland Prairie cotton economy.
