History
The F. R. Adamson House is one of the historic residences in Waxahachie individually listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986 under the Historic Resources of Waxahachie multiple-property nomination. It is a contributing example of the substantial homes built during the cotton-driven prosperity of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, when Ellis County led the nation in cotton production and Waxahachie accumulated one of the largest collections of historic buildings in Texas.
