History
Thomas Jefferson Jordan was a soldier of the Texas Revolution and an early settler of the Milford area in Ellis County. Born in Williamson County, Tennessee, in 1806, he died at Milford on November 24, 1880. He is buried in the Milford Cemetery among other county pioneers, and the State of Texas placed a granite marker at his grave in 1936.
