History

Hudsonville Cemetery serves the rural community of Hudsonville in north central Fannin County, about ten miles northeast of Bonham on FM 1396. The community had a post office from 1912 to 1914 and by 1915 counted about 150 residents, two general stores, a school, a church, and a weekly newspaper before declining through the twentieth century. The J. E. Hudson family also ran the Hudsonville Orphanage nearby around the turn of the century.
