History

Post Oak Cemetery serves the rural Post Oak farming community in Freestone County. It is one of two cemeteries bearing the Post Oak name in the county; this one lies south of Fairfield, reached from U.S. 75 by way of County Road 464. The burial ground reflects the small settlements that took root in the post-oak country of eastern Freestone County.
