History
This elaborate Italianate and Queen Anne style residence at 3301 Avenue L was built in 1892 by Galveston grocer John Hagemann and his wife Jerusha, to a design by architect Richard Zincke. The house is distinguished by a wraparound veranda with a curved metal roof and ornate Eastlake detailing. In 1932 it was purchased by Thomas and Laura Ella Cobb, giving it the name Hagemann-Cobb House, and it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on June 1, 1982.
