History
The Robinson Building was constructed in 1907 by George E. Robinson of Robinson and Witt, a firm that provided plumbing, gas, steam-fitting and electrical services and sold related fixtures from the ground floor while using the upper floors as living space. It stands in Galveston's Strand/Mechanic Historic District, across from the Grand 1894 Opera House, and today houses residential lofts. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
