History
Henry Journeay, born in New York in 1815, served in the Army of Texas in 1836 and was a member of the ill-fated Mier Expedition in 1842. He died in 1870 and is buried in Galveston, where the State of Texas placed a marker at his grave in 1936 among those of other early Texans.
