History
St. Mary's Catholic Church in Fredericksburg was built in 1906 to designs by San Antonio architect Leo M. J. Dielmann, built by contractor Jacob Wagner to replace an 1863 stone church that had grown too small. Executed in rusticated limestone quarried nearby, the Gothic Revival church features buttresses, a soaring corner tower, and windows with trefoil and quatrefoil tracery. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.
