History
Pampa City Hall was completed in December 1930 to designs by architect William R. Kaufman, who intended it to complement the Gray County Courthouse he also designed. Built during the Texas Panhandle oil boom, the Beaux Arts building is faced in buff brick with olive-green terra cotta trim and features triumphal-arch entrances with classical detailing. It was designated a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark in 1987 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.
