History
The Bedias Museum and Library occupies a historic former Methodist church building at 3348 Main Street in the small Grimes County town of Bedias, which was named for the Bidai Indians. The library opened its doors on October 3, 2009, and marked its tenth anniversary in 2019, operating on a modest budget as one of the few libraries of its size still running. Its collection holds more than 12,000 volumes alongside local history displays.
