History

Cranfills Gap Cemetery lies just inside Hamilton County, a short distance across the line from the town of Cranfills Gap in Bosque County, near the junction of FM 219 and State Highway 22. The oldest documented burial dates to 1896, and by 2021 the grounds held roughly 386 recorded graves. The rural cemetery is fenced and well maintained, with several plots enclosed by antique ironwork or covered in stone.
