History
In 1873 English-born buffalo hunters James H. and Robert Cator established a camp they called Zulu, later known as Zulu Stockade, in what became Hansford County. After the buffalo were hunted out, the Cators and others turned to ranching, and their house served as a supply depot on the Fort Dodge-Fort Bascom route; the marker dates to 1936.
