History
The Kleinhaus House is one of the historic residences of the Houston Heights, an early streetcar suburb founded in 1891 by Oscar Martin Carter's Omaha and South Texas Land Company. The Heights was an incorporated city in its own right from 1896 until it was annexed by Houston in 1918. The house is individually listed on the National Register of Historic Places as part of the 'Historic Resources of Houston Heights' multiple property submission.
