History
The Joseph Ogle House is one of the early residences of the Houston Heights, a streetcar suburb laid out in 1891 by the Omaha and South Texas Land Company on a ridge northwest of downtown Houston. The Heights was an independent municipality from 1896 until Houston annexed it in 1918. This house is individually listed on the National Register of Historic Places as part of the 'Historic Resources of Houston Heights' multiple property submission.
