History
The Samuel H. Webber House is one of the historic residences of the Houston Heights, a planned streetcar suburb founded in 1891 by Oscar Martin Carter's Omaha and South Texas Land Company. The Heights was an independent municipality from 1896 until Houston annexed it in 1918, and its early homes were documented together in the 'Historic Resources of Houston Heights' National Register multiple property submission, under which this house is individually listed.
