History
The D. D. Peden House was built in 1921 in Houston's exclusive Shadyside enclave for David D. Peden, president of the Peden Iron and Steel Company. The Georgian-style residence was designed by the noted architects Harrie T. Lindeberg and John F. Staub, the latter of whom would go on to design River Oaks landmarks such as Bayou Bend. The house is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
