History

Vincent Cemetery lies in the northeastern corner of Howard County and takes its name from the nearby community of Vincent, itself named for first settler Vincent Vinson, who arrived in 1892. The townsite was platted in 1908, and the Vincent Baptist Missionary Church followed in 1909. Now surrounded by cotton fields with its gate and sign gone, the cemetery is largely unmaintained.
