History

St. Theresa's Catholic Cemetery is the Catholic burial ground for La Salle, a southwestern Jackson County town that grew up around a railroad station and a 1924 land sale that drew a number of Polish and Czech settlers. It serves the local St. Theresa mission congregation, and its records document nearly two hundred interments. The cemetery reflects the Catholic farming families who settled the La Salle area in the early twentieth century.
