History

La Maison Acadienne (House of Acadia) is a replica of an early Acadian home from south Louisiana, completed and dedicated in Nederland in March 1976. It offers a glimpse into the lives of the Cajun pioneers who settled the area alongside Dutch immigrants in the late 19th century.
