History
The A. J. Swenson House at 511 E. Oliver was built in 1905 as a two-story, wood-frame residence blending Queen Anne and Classical features, with bay windows, an asymmetrical porch, an elaborate dormer, and a nearly pyramidal roofline. Associated with the Swenson ranching family that founded Stamford, it is considered one of the town's most notable historic homes and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on September 24, 1986.
