History

The Harmony Cemetery is the burial ground of the Harmony community, which grew up around the Harmony Baptist Church about seven and a half miles north of Helena. The church traces its origins to 1864, and by 1875 Thomas Ragsdale had donated land for a building on the west bank of Ecleto Creek. The cemetery's oldest marked grave, that of Martha Rabb, also dates to 1875, and descendants of early members continue to gather at the site annually.
