History
This Boerne marker commemorates the site used in 1860 as a temporary headquarters by Robert E. Lee, then a senior U.S. Army officer in Texas, at what became known as the Stotts or Lee House. Lee passed through the area while traveling the road between San Antonio and frontier posts such as nearby Camp Verde. The marker stands near Main and Evergreen streets in Boerne.
