History

Knox City Cemetery sits about a mile west of Knox City off State Highway 222, serving the railroad and farming town that took shape in southern Knox County in the early twentieth century. It has grown into one of the county's larger burial places, with well over two thousand recorded interments. Among those buried here is Charles Leroy Teague, a local soldier who died in France during World War I and whose grave carries a military memorial.
