History

Sudan Cemetery is the burial ground for the town of Sudan in western Lamb County, which took shape in 1917-18 after the Santa Fe Railroad reached the area. The cemetery lies about half a mile west of the highway off TX 298 and holds more than 1,900 recorded graves, including settlers whose birth dates reach back into the 1800s.
