History

Olton Cemetery serves the community of Olton, the first county seat of Lamb County. The four-acre burial ground grew from land the H. R. Miller family set aside in 1908, though a legal dispute delayed its use until a warranty deed cleared the title in 1911 and the first headstone was placed in 1912. Additional acreage was added in 1959 and 1980 to form the cemetery's south annex, and burial records are kept locally at the Foskey Funeral Home in Olton.
