History

The Moulton City Cemetery serves the town of Moulton in western Lavaca County. The present town dates to 1887, when the San Antonio and Aransas Pass Railway built its line about two miles east of the original settlement and the community gradually shifted to the tracks. The move left the earlier Old Moulton Cemetery to the southeast while newer burials gathered at the town's cemetery.
