Known as "Sagamore," this frontier cottage in the historic riverport town of Jefferson was built about 1852. A later owner, Henry Scott, was a partner in what is credited as the first commercial ice plant in Texas, established in 1868. The house was recorded as a Texas Historic Landmark in 1966.
