History

The Lee Lockwood Library and Museum at 2801 Waco Drive was built in 1969 as the center of Scottish Rite Freemasonry in Texas, named for Waco businessman and Freemason Robert Lee Lockwood (1901-1980). It was created to preserve historical records and artifacts, provide a library for research, and educate the public about Freemasonry; its facilities include a two-story library, an auditorium, and a ballroom.
