History

Punchard Cemetery is a small burial ground in southeastern McLennan County near Riesel, holding only a handful of graves. It is associated with the family of William Punchard, a New Hampshire native (1813-1878) who was among the area's early settlers; when the Tehuacana (T.P.&L.) reservoir was developed, his remains were relocated to the nearby Riesel Cemetery.
