History

Marlow Cemetery serves the small community of Marlow, southeast of Cameron, which local tradition says was nicknamed 'Devils Bend' in the 1880s for the gambling that went on there. The settlement took the Marlow name after Ben Marlow donated land for a cemetery, a Baptist church, and a school, making the cemetery one of the community's founding institutions.
