History

Oak Hill Cemetery is one of the principal cemeteries of Cameron, the Milam County seat, with large vertical monuments dating back to the 1890s and roughly 4,900 recorded burials. The historic grounds drew public attention in 2012 when several of its 19th-century monuments were damaged by vandalism.
