History

The Bryant-Blassinggill Cemetery is a small family burial ground in the Sandow community southwest of Rockdale in Milam County. The area was known first as Freezeout and then Millerton, which had a post office by 1873 named for Emil Miller (who donated land for a school), before being renamed Sandow after the Prussian-born strongman Eugen Sandow around the turn of the century.
