History

Flomot Memorial Park (Memorial Park Cemetery) serves the community of Flomot in northeastern Motley County, on land originally donated by Van Martin. In August 1892 the Cumberland Presbyterian Church was organized in a building standing within the cemetery grounds, which also once held the Flomot School, making the site an early center of community life. The graveyard today contains several hundred marked graves.
