History

Coffee Cemetery sits just east of Lake Sweetwater in Nolan County on land donated about 1880 by Eli Coffee, Sr. and John Montgomery. The oldest marked grave belongs to Eli Coffee, Sr. himself, who died in 1886. The fenced, long-neglected ground preserves burials from the county's earliest settlement era.
