History
The old Nueces County Courthouse in downtown Corpus Christi was completed in 1914 at a cost of about $250,000, designed by San Antonio architect Harvey L. Page. The six-story Classical Revival building of reinforced concrete is faced with brick and adorned with white terra cotta detailing, and was once acclaimed as the most beautiful courthouse in Texas. County offices moved out in 1977, and the building was listed on the National Register in 1976.
