History

Landreth Cemetery, southeast of New Salem in Palo Pinto County, has been a family-owned burying ground since 1877. Its oldest marked grave is that of C. A. Landreth (1825–1877), for whom the cemetery is named. It contains well over a hundred marked and unmarked graves of the Landreth family and their neighbors.
