History

Santo East Cemetery, east of Santo in Palo Pinto County, dates to the 1870s, when land was donated for a burial ground near the community of Calgando on Sunday Creek. Its oldest marked grave is dated 1875, though older unmarked burials are said to exist by local tradition. The cemetery reflects the early settlement of the Santo area in western Palo Pinto County.
