The building features a flat roof with a cornice and parapet, a base defined by horizontal brick courses and a cornice, bays created by flat Doric pilasters, and a central square brick clocktower topped with a dome broken by round dormers.

This is the historic 1908-1909 Randall County Courthouse in Canyon, designed in the Classical Revival style by architect Robert G. Kirsch and formally accepted on July 14, 1909. Built of brick with stone and terra-cotta trim and topped by a central dome, it was among the finest courthouses in the region at the time. Saved from demolition more than once, its exterior, including the clock tower, was restored with assistance from the Texas Historical Commission.
