History

The Texas Rodeo Hall of Fame was conceived by Pecos pharmacist and rancher John T. Rediger, holding its first induction in 2004 at the West of the Pecos Museum. It occupies the historic Texas & Pacific train depot on West 1st Street, where more than 60 displays honor cowboys and cowgirls, with emphasis on those who competed in the West of the Pecos Rodeo, billed as the world's oldest rodeo.
