History
The Reeves County Courthouse in Pecos was completed in 1937 to designs by the noted El Paso firm Trost & Trost, at a cost of about $270,000. The three-story building blends Classical Revival and Mediterranean elements, with a textured buff-brick exterior, arched entries with fanlights, casement windows, and a Spanish-tile central hipped roof. It replaced the county's first courthouse, built in 1886 shortly after Reeves County was created in 1883.
