History

Lindale native Mack "Kay" Whisenhunt—owner of area cotton gins and a canning factory and a city alderman—commissioned this Tudor Revival house in 1928 for his family. Kansas-born physician Dr. Earl Christian Kinzie bought the home in 1941 and practiced family medicine in Lindale for 49 years, delivering more than 2,000 babies. Now home to the Lindale Chamber of Commerce, it is a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark marked in 2008.
