History
The Fort Worth High School building on the Near South Side was designed by Waller & Field, built by the Innis-Graham Construction Company in 1909-11, and opened as Fort Worth High School in 1911 in the Classical Revival style. In 1918 it became Jennings Avenue Junior High, and in 1944 it was renamed Ernest Parker Junior High School. The school closed in 1977, and the building was rehabilitated into apartments in 1999-2001. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.
