History
The Roy A. and Gladys Westbrook House in Fort Worth is a large Tudor Revival home built in 1928 to designs by Fort Worth architect Joseph R. Pelich. Roy A. Westbrook, founder of the Westbrook Oil Company, made his fortune in the Hendrick Oilfield of Winkler County and was a founding member of the Fort Worth Petroleum Club and president of the Fort Worth Cats baseball club. The two-and-a-half-story brick house features half-timbered gables, a crenelated stair tower, stained glass, and marble fireplaces, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on January 8, 2009.
