History
This house belonged to the Parramore family, among Abilene's earliest and most prominent residents. The family patriarch, Colonel James H. Parramore, was a farmer and cattleman who purchased land in the area in 1882 and lent his name to Abilene's Parramore Addition. The D. D. Parramore House was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992 as part of the Historic and Architectural Resources of Abilene.
