History

Pride Cemetery served the rural farming community of Pride, well south of Brownfield in Terry County. Its burials reach back to the county's early settlement, including pioneers such as John P. Allen (1855–1941) and Mollie E. Allen (1867–1929). The isolated ground is reached today by a long dirt road off State Highway 137.
